Your feedback on our proposals for Mynydd Ty-talwyn Energy Park is important to us, helping to shape the project.
At Galileo Empower, we strongly believe in the need for ongoing dialogue regarding our projects, developing these in close partnership with local communities and other key stakeholders.
Through meaningful and effective pre-application consultation (PAC), Galileo Empower will provide local communities and other key stakeholders with opportunities to participate and contribute to the development of the project.
This will take account of the comments received to develop the proposals ahead of the submission of our application to PEDW.
Pre-Application Consultation
As Mynydd Ty-talywn Energy Park is classed as a Development of National Significance (DNS) – a type of planning application for a large infrastructure project of national importance, the planning application process will be dealt by Planning and Environment Decisions Wales (PEDW), on behalf of the Welsh Government.
The Pre-Application Consultation period is running from 26 April – 8 June 2025. This will be the final consultation before we submit our plans to PEDW later this year.
We are hosting three in-person consultation events, where you can see how the project has developed, view our draft planning application, meet our project team, and share your feedback:
- Cefn Cribwr Athletic Club, CF32 0BA: 29th April 2025, 4pm – 8pm
- Llangynwyd Village Hall, CF34 9SW: 30th April 2025, 11:30am – 2:30pm
- Coytrahen Community Centre, CF32 0EB: 30th April 2025, 4:30-8:30pm

It is important to note that comments made to Galileo Empower (the Applicant) are not representations to the Welsh Ministers. There will be an opportunity to make representations on the application once it is submitted to PEDW.

This can be made to Planning and Environment Decisions Wales (PEDW) after an application has been submitted. Your details will in due course be submitted to PEDW along with the application PAC Report. This will enable PEDW to contact you if the application in question is accepted for examination.
